Brita Grønn Kolstad brings decades of healthcare experience to Luzmon Medical, combining clinical expertise, research, leadership, and a longstanding commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. Her interest in healthcare began early, shaped by her mother’s work as a general practitioner. As a child, Brita often accompanied her on home visits and later worked at the nursing home where her mother served as a supervising physician. These formative experiences gave Brita an early appreciation for attentive care and inspired her to pursue nursing.
Brita earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Haukeland School of Nursing in 1996 and later became a certified Personal Trainer through the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Her career has spanned a wide range of clinical disciplines. As a registered nurse at Haukeland University Hospital, she gained experience across the Departments of Internal Medicine, Dermatology and Surgery, as well as the Dialysis Unit. She also worked for several years as a research nurse, contributing to clinical studies within Oncology, Anesthesiology, Surgery, and Cardiology.
Brita also comes with experience as a consultant in the IT Department of Helse Bergen Health Trust, where she contributed to the implementation of a digital medical media archive. Her career has additionally included two years as Assistant General Manager of a fitness center, alongside several years as a spinning and Pilates instructor—an experience that broadened her expertise in leadership, sales, physical performance, and exercise. Her dedication to supporting others has extended beyond her professional life, including volunteer work at a day center serving people experiencing substance-use challenges.
At Luzmon Medical, Brita has developed considerable expertise in neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), combining extensive practical experience with continuous professional development. This knowledge provides an important foundation for Luzmon’s continued exploration and application of High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology and its potential to support rehabilitation, physical performance, and healthy aging.
For Brita, Luzmon Medical represents the intersection of science, innovation, compassion, and purpose—a mission closely aligned with the values that have defined her career.
